Balgal Beach Stinger Net

The Balgal Beach Stinger Net has been installed and we are very pleased to report it is a great success! The photos below were taken at 3pm on a warm but windy Sunday afternoon. The tide was high and we had a small surf running.

The really good news is we have a lifeguard on duty every day from 9am to 5pm. The photos show Antonia Atha, an exchange lifeguard from Cornwell , England, on duty.

Facilities in the area include ample parking, grass expanses, shady trees, plenty of seating, taps, showers, toilets and BBQs, all situated on a fabulous tropical beach. 200m away is Fishermans Landing where you can buy quality food and drinks (licenced). For campers, the council's free camping ground is 100m from the net.
